Celebrating Success

As we gear up for our year end and take stock of the past 11 months, we are incredibly proud of our teams’ successes. In November we had two winners at the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association’s annual LiftEx event – our Operations Manager, Gerry Miller, won Unsung Hero of the year and our Workshop Manager, Gavin Baxter, won the Cyril McCaully Memorial Prize for the best mark achieved in the Lifting Equipment General Advanced assessment.

Our lovely Administrator Rachael was also awarded Apprentice of the Year at the Renfrewshire Council Invest in Renfrewshire Awards.

As a family company, we celebrate personal successes together and appreciate the wonderful team that we have.

Here’s to an equally successful 12 months ahead!

Merry Christmas from all at Scotia!

We will be closed from 12pm on Friday 22nd December and will return on Wednesday 3rd January at 8:30am.

We want to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and suppliers a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Team Scotia

29 ports. 22 ferry crossings. 14 islands. 366 items of lifting equipment.

Scotia’s work is wide and varied, but this job we completed for CalMac Ferries Ltd was particularly special. Sometimes it’s easy to forget how many amazing places are right on our doorstep. This little film captures some of them.

Highest quality products at low prices – win win for Scotia customers!

Scotia Handling Services can now offer top quality Gunnebo products at prices to rival cheaper, mass market alternatives. Gunnebo Industries are world leaders in the lifting industry and are well known as producing a premium product with outstanding safety. Our negotiated prices mean that in many cases, these European made products are cheaper than their lower quality alternatives. Safety is always paramount so you can rest assured that with Gunnebo products you are using the highest quality items on the market. Please contact the office to see how they can help you!

Good News!

Scotia are delighted to have successfully transitioned from ISO 9001:2008 to the new standard, ISO 9001:2015. We are one of the first companies in our area and industry to complete the transition and we believe that this successful transition is a result of our enduring commitment to quality, safety and customer service.

Thank you to all our customers and suppliers for their support in the past and we look forward to developing our business relationship with you all in the future!

Easy online certification is now available!

‘Scocert’, Scotia’s new online certification system, is now up and running and ready to make your certification easier to manage. The secure system can be accessed via the main website using a unique customer log in and allows you to quickly and easily access your certificates. Certificates can be linked to item ID numbers meaning no more searching through paperwork to find the last inspection date – just type the ID in the search function and there is it is ready to download or print!

Save some space and the environment by switching to online certification. Give the office a call on 01505 321 127 for further details.
